02/08/2008 : New Pictures from Limehouse Lizzy Gig!
Well, we did the gig and what a night it was, We opened up the gig at around 9 bells and started off on our 45 minute set of some Darkness, U2 and AC/DC, It was a blast, the monitoring was good and we played well even though we had a layoff of a month.
Although everything was gong well I (Aden) had a bit of an issue with a dodgy lead, We fired into Ever fallen in love and with every foot tap the guitar seems to distort and crackle even more until the final cressendo where the bloody thing went off....
After a load of faffing around in the silence of the roughly 600 people we found it was a shitty lead going from the Amp head into the Cab.... Sheeeeeeeeeeesh!!!!!!
After a version of Purple Rain soaked in the Purple lights and Lush Delay courtesy of Phil (Sound Man Extraordinaire) we finished up with the last song Whole Lotta Rosie which was a welcome relief as my voice was Fooked by this point.
After the gig we got down to some a' drinkin' and watched the show, If you havent seen Limehouse Lizzy and like your Rock then you need to see this band, They play all the favourite's and more.
Great vibes were in abundance all night and people were jumping around with air guitars and throwing the devils horns left, right and center. At one point Steffy-Lou was on my shoulders and up on the big stack of speaker's, the band revelled in the audience's enthusiasm and played a blinder.
A great time was had by all
